Sean is amazing! He always helps bring our dreams to reality. I unfortunately trusted someone I found through a Facebook group and was overcharged for land grading that was rushed and left more of a mess. Sean was able to fix a few more issues we had with our land in which we had standing water and a hill that was creating erosion. We recommend him to anyone who wants work done the correct way!
Had a shed pad installed yesterday and the process was smooth and perfect. Sean built the pad up and made it solid and level. Al was there helping Sean and wow what an amazing job! A solid base layer and then the top layer all compacted perfect—level and as solid as concrete. Looks perfect and ready for the new shed! Thank you very much! They installed a sump pump and French drain, regraded our backyard, and laid down stone to turn it into a truly usable space—we finally have a yard we can enjoy! If we could give 20 stars we would. Within a day of contacting them they came out to give us a quote to remove a propane tank and fill in the hole and regrade our backyard. They are professional, kind, and show up when they say and anyone who lives in the Poconos knows that is a miracle in of itself. Going with High Cause Construction was definitely the right choice. I had a half acre in my backyard that was part lawn, part shabby woods. Slope and grading had morphed over the years causing serious drainage problems. Our yard turned into a pond for days after a rain. To help disguise the ugliness, we made a makeshift fire pit but it was just a Band-Aid on a bigger problem. I requested contact from multiple landscape companies in the area. Sean at High Cause was the first to respond. And to this date, the only one to ever respond! He called, then showed up at the house exactly as promised. Then my wife and I became difficult customers. We’re not proud of this but we were mostly new to this process and had lots of questions and at times we couldn’t agree between us what we wanted. Sean handled each visit, phone call, and text with absolute patience and professionalism, advising and instructing us along the way. After changing our mind six times, High Cause finally got to work. High Cause completely transformed our backyard into what my neighbor now calls “the nicest yard in the neighborhood.” They fixed the slope/drainage issue by creating an upper and lower level and bridging the two with a beautiful boulder wall, a meandering path “uphill,” and an upgraded fire pit that belongs in a landscape magazine. Sean is surgical, meticulous, and runs a Skid Steer.

He came and assessed the situation, drew up a plan, and helped us get things submitted to the township and our HOA. Once we got approved and got permits, he and his crew were fast to get started. Once they got started, they did an amazing job. We got a complaint from a picky neighbor who believed that we were encroaching on his property. Sean came out and talked to our HOA and assessed the situation. It was proven that Sean and his crew followed all the guideline and rules set forth by our HOA. He is very knowledgeable about laws and codes. We also had him install fencing around our property and it looks great. They took down an old shed and other things we needed hauled away. To begin to make use of a new yard, I needed to have it graded to correct some puddle issues and then seeded. Along with the functioning yard space, I needed to have a space to turn around, preventing the need to reverse down a steep driveway. Choosing Sean was an excellent decision for this project. He was able to make suggestions that had my basic outlook turn out better than I expected and did it at a fair price. I’ll definitely have him back to work on other projects and would recommend him without a second thought.

Where do I start? The amount of good things to say about this company and its owner Sean, I would probably have to upgrade my gigabytes. Sean is top tier and a stand-up guy. Extremely knowledgeable about everything in his field, from decks to complete remodels. Everything he does is top notch, takes pride in his work, does what he says he’s going to do, and always over delivers. Extremely punctual and doesn’t like to waste any time and gets the job done. Sean and his crew are honest, kind, and professional. They were wonderful at explaining their plan to give us a nice backyard for our new home that had been neglected for decades but assured me they would still preserve the wild wooded look so the woodland creatures’ habitat wouldn’t be affected too drastically.
